DCLUG - About

The Washington DC area Linux User Group (DC LUG) was formed by Przemek Klosowski and a group of Linux enthusiasts in July, 1994. Since then, we have had a lively schedule of meetings, with talks by Linux developers and explorers.

In May 1996 we set up our own Internet server, sponsored by Erols. We share this server with other volunteer organizations, and set it up as a FTP site for Linux-related material.

Our computer tastes are well described by Jon Hamkin's hilarious spoof of an argument that Windows is better than Linux.

Our members use Linux in a variety of roles, both pleasure and business related.
